- New HEIG !!! (had to submit a motivation and charter then Exec review/approval
- HEIG team members contributed - Plenary on HE/TDAM, Obscore, DataModel
- Architecture Document v2.1 updated and approved
- Added a VOEvent session since TDAM ppl attended and were interested to discuss; notes & actions taken
- Couple of bigger topics/actions from discussions for TCG/IVOA to tackle:
- Major breaking changes to IVOA standards - How to handle??
- Mtg attendees were happy that the HEIG was accepted as a IG at the Interop meeting; no further highlights were added.
- 2025 Roadmap - collection of items and definition (all)
- Pointer to Roadmap from TCG: https://wiki.ivoa.net/twiki/bin/view/IVOA/2024BRoadmap
- Topics to start discussion with:
- Consensus was that Obscore would be our primary topic before the May Interop; we will have a topical meeting in the next few weeks to discuss
- For the DL3/L1 (event list + IRFs):
- Ian's HEIG_obscore_summary above is a good review start, see also Mathieu's talk in Sydney (here)
- Mathieu: the use of DataLink as mentioned in our note should be experimented
- For the DL5+/L3 (astrophysical products, and catalogs):
- Laurent Michel reminds that the XMM catalogues discoverability uses MIVOT/MANGO
- Janet reminds that ObsCore is used for the Chandra catalogues
- Needs to address this point and try to converge towards a common solution in preparation of the venue of the future CTAO catalogues
- Organization of HEIG - Monthly meetings, Next Hybrid meeting (Bruno) - Folks agreed with ~monthly meetings and topical meetings as needed.
- Thematic remote meeting: Obscore extension proposal by Patrick Dowler (see Janet's email of the 01/06/25) (Bruno) - Agreed, There's a poll out as of 1/29 to schedule this meeting.
- AOB
- We got a paper from Michele Doro (12/13/24) to review. - MAGIC_DL5_data_portal_v20250201.pdf
- This is a good paper that outlines the data distribution and headers of data; pulls in VO & IVOA; discusses the data model and Obscore.
- I think should be reviewed as HEIG works through it's priorities on these topics.
