We have also engaged further with the proposal for a standard VO data modelling language. A working draft is published to the DM WG and under discussion. We also continued exploring proof-of-concept implementations for this standard and also its sister document on its possible use in mapping of complex data models

BRAVO

BRAVO has co-organized the second edition of "Scientific Computing for Astronomy Workshop" last June (https://sites.google.com/site/iiwcca/). It featured a 3 hours long hands-on on VO introductory tools, given by a past participant of the BRAVO-VO school organized in 2012. BRAVO stablished a collaboration with Laboratory of Astroinformatics at IAG (LAi), with the plan to expand LAi's infrastructure to perform curation and management of data. The FAPESP funding we have applied earlier this year has not been approved and we applied for a second one with CNPq. BRAVO collaboration with the Brazilian part of the J-PAS consortium is active, and we recently started contact with the GMT consortium (Sao Paulo State has recently joined). We are planning the development of systems to host and share data of the telescopes to which Brazil has access to, but we are awaiting for funding to stablish a more robust roadmap.

China-VO

Beta version of China-VO AstroCloud was released on May 15, 2014.

http://astrocloud.china-vo.org

The China-VO AstroCloud project was supported by NDRC (National Development and Reform commission) and CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences). Based on VO and Cloud technologies, the China-VO AstroCloud hopes to be a full lifecycle data management platform and an astronomical resource planning environments for the community and telescopes in China. Tasks such as observation time application, proposal review, data archiving, data release and sharing, scientific discovery collection, will be (or demanded) done on the platform. The platform will provide astronomers proposal submission, data archiving, data access, limited data processing and data mining, and maybe more services.

A Call for Proposals was issued on July 21, 2014. Proposals for observation at 2.4m telescope at Yunnan Observatories were collected on the AstroCloud platform. During the time of 3 weeks, 69 proposals were collected. Now, peer-review is still underway.

The 4th nationwide WWT teacher training was held successfully in Chongqing. The workshop was held at Shixinlu primary school, where the first WWT planetarium was built in 2013. More than 30 teachers from universities, secondary schools and primary schools attended the event.

The second WWT planetarium is under construction at Astronomy Department at Beijing Normal University. More schools are on the waiting list.

ChiVO

ChiVO is currently in its final phase with the creation of a functional prototype that consider data access services for the cycle 0 ALMA's public data. This prototype considers:
- Creation of metadata harvesting process for the ALMA Science Data Model in order to fill the Observation Core Data model columns. Also the same process with FITS files was made (no ObsCore).
- Based on the harvesting process we construct and set-up the resources to the backend (gavo DaCHS).
- The creation of web interface to facilitate the access to the data. This web application consume data from different resources available in the registry (using the ChiVO endpoint web service).
- The ChiVO endpoint facilitate the communication between the web application and the Registry, providing a JSON file with all available registry to be used by the astronomer.
- ALMA Sesame, name resolver for the names created by ALMA database. We are creating this web service with a NoSQL database MongoDB.
- The creation of tools and algorithms for galaxies classification, indexing of stellar objects, and identification of spectral lines in ALMA data cubes.
- It is necessary a suitable set of data to validate these tools; hence, ALMA data is now being simulated.

GAVO

GAVO entered its fifth funding period ("GAVO-2014") in July; we now operate on about four federally funded positions.

GAVO's Heidelberg and Potsdam data centers keep maintaining and developing services, with some minor additions since the Madrid Interop. We have also improved support for publishing planetary data through EPN-TAP in our publication suite DaCHS, including provisional support for data in PDS format widespread in that community.

In standards, we are about to finalise RegTAP for Exec review. Further Registry activities include trying out various ways to register data collections and working on special IVORN forms for datasets and standards. We also continued our work on developing datalink and the server-side data processing services described by it, and development of a Provenance data model progressed, where we are now gyrating towards closely aligning IVOA's provenance model with the W3C's one.

Finally, we have put out a beta of a standard and convenient document preparation system for the IVOA ("ivoatex"), taking up software and techniques previously developed within Astrogrid and VAO as well as the CDS. The current (workable) state is in volute.

VObs.it

VObs.it has taken responsibility for the position of Document Coordinator, which has been assigned to Giulia Iafrate of INAF-OATS.

VObs.it (and specifically the IA2 data centre located at INAF-OATS), in tight coordination with the VAO staff at Caltech, has completed the procedures to host the IVOA domain, mail and wiki. The technical handover from VAO to VObs.it has been completed. Coordination with VO-India has been set up to allow access by the Document Coordinator to the Document Repository (hosted by IUCAA).

VObs.it is organizing the Spring 2015 Interoperability Meeting, which will be held on 15-19 June in Sesto/Sexten (in the Dolomites) at the Haus Sexten Congress Hall, hosted by the Sexten Center for Astrophysics ( http://www.sexten-cfa.eu/ ). The Exec and TCG meetings, to be held possibly on Sunday 14th will be hosted at the Sport & Kurhotel in Bad Moos, where a block booking has been organised . Organisation is progressing smoothly. A web page with general info has been set up by Sexten-CfA ( http://www.sexten-cfa.eu/en/conferences/2015/details/54-ivoa-interoperability-workshop--spring-2015.html).

Since Trieste was selected as the ADASS 2016 venue, VObs.it is willing to host the Fall 2016 Interoperability Meeting back-to-back with ADASS, in mid-October 2016.
