. Jan AAS Meeting Splinter meeting planned: “Flexible Multi-dimensional Modeling of Complex Data in Astronomy" has been accepted. The workshop is scheduled on Wednesday, 4 January 2017 at 9:30am-11:30am in Grapevine 4 at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center. The room will be set classroom-style for 50+ attendees.

. Iris v3.o beta1 released for review/feedback. The Visualizer now uses the STILTS plotting API as its plotting backend. Iris internals, in particular the new Metadata Browser and the Visualizer, are now heavily based on STIL -- the library both TOPCAT and STILTS use. This allows Iris to be more efficient and allows us to be able to add more and more scientific features to Iris in the future.

. The new NRAO Archive, built on top of VO standards, is about to go into widespread testing inside the Observatory and to preliminary testing by a limited number of NRAO Observers. The lead of the NRAO Archive group will present its status at the upcoming IVOA intro.
