Astronomical Visualization Metadata (AVM)

The purpose of this standard is to define a set of metadata for describing a graphics image intended for outreach purposes (e.g. a public release image from an observatory) as well as a method for embedding the metadata into the image file itself. This work is being carried out under the sponsorship of the Virtual Observatory Multimedia Project (VAMP)
