25 Ada Nebot OV-France: Coordinating the French Virtual Observatory Community and Promoting Interoperability OV-France (Action Spécifique Observatoires Virtuels, ASOV) plays a key role in coordinating and supporting the national Virtual Observatory community. Its primary mission is to foster French participation in the activities of the International Virtual Observatory Alliance (IVOA), promote the adoption and implementation of VO standards, and facilitate knowledge sharing across laboratories, data centers, and scientific projects. This presentation provides an overview of OV-France’s activities, its role within the French astronomical data landscape, and its contribution to strengthening links between the French community and the international Virtual Observatory ecosystem.
25 Caroline Bot CDS and the Virtual Observatory: services and standards The Centre de Données astronomiques de Strasbourg (CDS) has been sharing astronomical reference data for more than 50 years. CDS has participated actively to the Virtual Observatory (VO) ecosystem since the beginning, viewing it as an amplifier of the impact of data accessibility and discoverability and nurturing long term collaborations and sharing of expertise among the international research community. In this talk, I will describe CDS’s flagship services -SIMBAD, VizieR and Aladin- and their evolution in the context of VO Standards and the IVOA participation at large.
25 Andy Goetz What is the EOSC Federation and where is it going? The European Commission is a strong supporter of FAIR data for science. This has resulted in multiple funding programs for FAIR data including the launching of the EOSC Federation. This talk will briefly present the evolution of the EOSC Federation and what the current status is. It will describe the architecture and the requirements for EOSC Nodes and present two examples, the EU Node and the PaNOSC Node.
