The Chandra X-ray Center is pleased to announce the availability of Release 2.1 of the Chandra Source Catalog (CSC 2.1). This catalog covers roughly 730 square degrees of sky and contains 407,806 unique X-ray sources and over 1.3 million individual source detections identified in more than 15 thousand Chandra imaging observations released publicly prior to the end of 2021.

The catalog can be queried using multiple interfaces, including CSCview, WWT, simple web interface, and IVOA compliant services. The latter allow access from Jupyter notebooks via PyVO. For further information, consult the catalog webpage: http://cxc.cfa.harvard.edu/csc/.

    • A round of requests out to the community from the WG/IG went out in the last week; we'll see if further session are requested as a result.
    • Have a local plenary on the Australian Data Landscape, and a second coordinated by the CSP on "Project Reviews" - Ada will fill in details
    • Have a P3T (Protocol Transitioning Tiger Team) session on the results of the Tiger team that will meet Thu/Fri before the Interop

      • Making changes to a test planform may be dependent on new IVOA Interop top page; Status of that and can we combine efforts??
    • There's a plan to Migrate from GWS to DSP - Proposal: Create new group DSP (Distributed Services and Protocols), adding references to GWS pages as historical work - proposal/discussion planned for Interop
    • Marco provided input to Simon/JJ on TCG open positions; I provided a candidate for TCG V Chair who I've spoken with and is interested - passed that info on to Simon/JJ too.
