Standard Vocabulary Use Cases

It has been proposed that the IVOA needs a Standard Vocabulary (SV). We can use this page to define cases in which an SV would be used to solve some VO-related problem. In the following, the use cases are differentiated by names of IVOA groups which could validate the use case. At the end is also a cross-group section. Feel free to add missing sections.
