Here are some restaurants nearby Haus Sexten, suitable for lunch and/or dinner and located at walking distance from the meeting site. Lunch is usually served between noon and 2 pm while dinner time starts at 6 pm till 8:30 or 9 pm. Booking is recommended if a large number of people wants to have a meal together.

---+++ Catering at Haus Sexten

For those not wishing to leave Haus Sexten during the lunch break, a catered light meal will be organised (first course, salad, water or soft drink) at a cost of 12 Euros (to be paid cash). You will be able to book the lunch day-by-day within 9:30 at the secretariat and will receive a lunch ticket.

---+++ Conference Dinner

The conference dinner will be held in the weinstube of the Bad Moos hotel at 19:30 of Wednesday June 17.

At the time of registration (or at the secretariat until Tuesday evening), you will get a ticket for the dinner and will be able to specify any special dietary requirements. At dinner time on Wednesday you will return the ticket to the organisers and will obtain a proper receipt.

The cost of the dinner is 45 Euros. It is included in the hotel bill for those staying at the Bad Moos hotel, and needs to be paid (cash) to the secretariat when registering.

The shuttle bus (see below) will be available to allow participants having their hotels in Sesto to reach the Bad Moos hotel and to return at the end of the dinner.

---+++ Shuttle

A shuttle bus will be available *daily (Monday through Friday)* to connect the Haus Sexten conference centre and the Sport & Kurhotel in Bad Moos, which are about 2 km apart (see also [[#LocalMap][the map below]]). Mid-way stops will be made as needed. Two buses will leave Bad Moos in the morning to reach the meeting site (8:30, 8:45), two buses will return to Bad Moos after the last session (17:40, 17:55). In addition one bus will leave the Haus Sexten at the end of the morning sessions (12:40) to go back to Bad Moos and from there return to the meeting site (13:45).

---+++ Transportation from/to VCE

Dedicated shuttle transfers have been planned to help participants reach Sesto from Venice International Airport (VCE) in the dates 13th/14th and back to VCE on 19th/20th. The information gathered through the participants registration led to the following *[[InterOpJune2015Buses][shuttle buses composition]]*. Please check them and report issues directly to the LOC.

Please consider (especially in planning your return) that the *Sesto-VCE trip takes about 3 hours*.

---+++ Weather

June is usually a pleasant month of the year in Sesto, temperatures ranging from 7 °C in the morning/evening to 20 °C during the day (45 to 68 °F). However one must remember that the height over sea level is 1300 m (4300 ft), and if one just wishes to take a cableway to have a better view of the area the height over sea level goes immediately above 2000 m (6500 ft). The week of the workshop, the weather is expected to be pretty variable. You are therefore suggested to bring, together with lighter clothing, also a warm sweater and a waterproof jacket, plus hiking boots if you wish to hike.
---+++ Tours

A tour can be organised on Friday afternoon. A spectacular one would reach the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, one of the best-known mountain groups in the Alps, which is pretty near Sesto: one can just stop at the mountain lodge and enjoy the scenery, or take a 3-hours walk around the group.

Comfortable walks or more serious hikes can be performed in the surroundings. Info is available and will be included in the conference material.
