SSA has been promoted to a Preliminary Recommendation, and is
currently undergoing a public request for comments.  See the

recent version of the specification, as well as information for how
to participate in the review process.

The Simple Spectral Access interface (SSA) defines a uniform
interface to simple 1D spectra, with extensions planned also
for time series, and SEDs. It shares many similarities with the
[[http://www.ivoa.net/Documents/latest/SIA.html][Simple Image Access]]
(SIA) and Simple Cone Search (SCS) specifications.
