IVOA Theory: Science Use Cases


The use cases reachable form this page are meant to guide the discussions and working of the Theory Interest Group. They are therefore foremost meant to derive requirements for the working groups that are of a theoretical nature. There is (as yet) no prescribed structure for these use cases. One may look at the registry's use cases page or to AstroGrid's list for examples. On this page you can find a template to copy and paste that mimicks the AstroGrid style.

Here we compile a first list of requirements (requests/questions) extracted from the use cases listed above. This list will likely need to be turned into a document of the appropriate IVOA style, but how to communicate the requirements/requests/questions to the WGs, which is supposedly the task of an IG, is actually one of the questions to the Standards WG.
