A query against any registry will take this standard form, using terms defined in the RegistryMetadata and ResourceMetadata specifications. A query might come directly from a user activity (eg using a GUI to determine which 'XRay Archives' are available and their access restrictions) or from another registry (in order, perhaps, to satisfy another user activity). -- TonyLinde - 24 Jan 2003
