IVOA Member Organizations

A representative from each member organization participates in quarterly Executive Committee meetings, usually held virtually or hybrid during twice-annual Interop conferences that are held in the northern fall and northern spring.

Approved minutes and actions are posted on the Executive Committee Reports & Minutes page.

IVOA Interoperability

Most of the work of the IVOA is done within working or interest groups (WG/IG). Standards are produced under the auspices of the WGs, whereas the IGs typically cover specific topics and could be thought of as advisory committees. All WGs and IGs are open to participation by any interested member of the astronomical community.
