Implementing Datalink in VizieR | VizieR is a web service that provides access to thousands of catalogues ofastronomical data. Some of these catalogues have associated data, like spectra or images. Although it’s easy accessing the associated data from the HTML page, it’s impossible accessing the data from a query outside the HTML form. In order to circumvent this issue, we added an option to display a Datalink column, which can redirect to the associated data. We used the Datalink standard described by DAL ( REC-DataLink-1.1). |

ESDC TAP Stateless Follow-up | - Issues encountered along the way, such as performance problems and how to publish session information so that different instances can share credentials, activity data, etc. - A renewed emphasis on what this approach provides — robustness and scalability — and what this means for our archives (e.g., local processing and parallel downloads). - Aspects that are not addressed by this approach and must be solved by other means, such as database performance (e.g., using MMP database solutions). |
